About Us

Hello Darlings!

 

     We wanted to add this "About Us" page to give the website a personal touch. You deserve to know who is behind the scenes! Although we are fairly new, we hope that you'll be satisfied with the items we hold in stock, as well as the changes we are looking to make in the future for the community surrounding us locally.

     We are a two-(wo)man show here at Dust on Dandelions Resale. Pictured above is a mother/daughter duo a month before spontaneously deciding to start their own business together. For full-time momma, this has always been a dream that she's never been able to fulfill. For the daughter, this is a business proposition she has thought of many times, but has never thought to pursue it. 

     We are just alike and if there is one thing we share in common the most, its our love for all things fashion! Our store is curated by old pieces from our closets, as well as from our friends, grandchildren, sisters, you name it! We accept all donations or hand pick these pieces ourselves to add to the shop! We have something for just about everybody. The best thing about fashion is every piece is versatile if you have the right ideas! Visit our fashion blog for ideas. We post weekly!

 

What are we about?

     We want to make changes to those around us. We want to provide new looks to your closet. We want to donate the pieces that don't make it out of our shop. We want to make friends and give smiles to people who may one day turn into friends. Most importantly, we want to be able to grow the business to a point where we can give back to our community!

     5% of ALL sales annually get donated to a charity in need. Each year, we will choose a charity to donate our time, attention, clothes, and funds to. These charities help support many defeating issues from terminal illnesses to natural disasters. We are proud to say that we have taken the time to curate a list of charities to support every single year, and that list is forever growing as we discover more helpful charitable drives in time.      We try our best to be sustainable and mindful of our environment. Any clothes that don't "graduate" from our shop to a loving closet will not be thrown away. We will hang on to these until we have enough to donate to a family or organization that is in need of the items. 

We do not donate to any corporate store. Instead, we give to families in need or donate to hand-picked reputable charities that will do the same or continue the process we started. We believe that all fabric can be repurposed or reused at all times in some sort of way. As humans, we all have different looks and styles. There is always somebody, somewhere, that is willing to reuse or repurpose an item, extending its life before making it to a landfill.

     When within our means, we will always try to do something to give for the holidays or special occasions. Whether it be Christmas, Halloween, or Easter, we will always look for every chance to do something beneficial with little to no cost to those in our community. We look forward to this part!      Lastly, we love this for us, for you, and for the community surrounding us. We search out for items with passion. We post them with determination. We sell them with pride, and we do it because we want to! Not because we have to.
